Все кто хотел уже написали о выходе UR 7 для MS Dynamics CRM 4.0. Повторяться не буду, но в виду его важности (совместимость с Win 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 и SQL Server 2008 R2) решил написать

Новости одной строкой Вышел SP3 для ProClarity 6.3. Пока доступен на английском языке, но к середине ноября должны появиться локализованные версии на 17 языках.

А 15 октября (четверг / пятница) должен появиться SP3 для PPS 2007. Напоминаю, что это будет последнее обновление для PPS 2007.

Собственно говоря, вышел Update Rollup 6 для Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. на мой взгляд ключевое – что теперь в UR будут включаться и обновления для Mobile Express.

SP2 для Office System 2007 выходит 28 апреля 2009 года

Давным давно я писал о примерной дате выхода SP2 для Office System 2007 — Microsoft Office 2007 SP2 — когда ждать? Сегодня появилась официальная дата выхода – 28 апреля 2009 года. Подробности читаем вот тут — Service Pack 2 for the 2007 Microsoft Office System due to ship April 28th.

Почитал список изменений – не нашел для себя ничего критичного. И так все неплохо работает

Основные изменения:

Slipstream – You are now able to integrate the base installation with service packs (or Hotfixes) and install in a single step.
Service Pack Uninstall – You are now able to uninstall only the Service Pack (without removing the whole instance)
Report Builder 2.0 Click Once capability

Вышел Update Rollup 3 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. По ссылке можно подробно со всем ознакомиться.

Теперь UR должны выпускаться по 8 недельному циклу, так что следующий надо ждать в начале мая.

Enterprise Search — первый выпуск данного акселератора. Обещают еще один. Позволяет искать, просматривать и редактировать данные CRM-сущностей из MOSS. Интересно проверить как он с кастом объектами работает.

SQL Server 2005 SP3 вышел!

SQL Server 2005 SP3 is now available for download and includes the following updates:

Roll-up of Quick Fix Engineering (QFE) updates completed since SQL Server 2005 SP2, as well as fixes to critical issues reported through the SQL Server community. Per revised servicing strategy for SQL Server releases, SP3 does not introduce major new features.
Feature Pack for SQL Server 2005 SP3 has been refreshed along with this release.
SP3 can be used to upgrade from any previous instance of SQL Server 2005
For customers who will be upgrading from SQL Server 2005 SP2 CU#10 or SP2 CU#11, you will have to install the latest CU on SP3 after upgrading to SP3 release to get all the fixes.
SP3 applies to:
- SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition
- SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Evaluation Edition
- SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition
- SQL Server 2005 Workgroup Edition
- SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition

Из основных нововведений на мой взгляд 2 ключевых момента:

Поддержка SQL Server 2008
Поддержка Hyper-V

По срокам тоже появляется некая определенность – документация по апгрейду на SP2 должна повится “around the beginning of December 2008”. Значит и сам SP2 стоит ждать где-то в декабре / январе. Осталось не так долго

Совсем неожиданно для себя нашел — SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3 – Beta. В продакшене ни в коем случае не использовать, но сам факт наличия говорит о том, что до релиза SP3 осталось не так и долго

Достаточно давно я уже писал про Podcasting Kit for SharePoint (PKS) — Podcasting Kit for SharePoint (PKS) — упрощаем работу с подкастами. 30-го сентября наконец то вышла первая бетта-версия PKS, которую разработчики называют “стабильной”. Следующая стабильная версия будет только в декабре, так что пока стоит всерьез посмотреть на сентябрьский релиз.

Note: This download does not work with an x64 OS. We currently recommend a x86 development machine for SharePoint development when targeting x64 OS for test and production. Output binaries are all .NET assemblies so you can reasonably expect all .NET assemblies built on the x86 dev box to still work on your x86 OS test and production machines. The CLR will JIT compile the .NET assembly on each target machine and will optimize for x64 OS when run on that architecture. Testing on x64 after doing development on x86 is still recommended.

Наконец то стад доступен русский SP1 для PerformancePoint Server 2007:

Переведена в том числе и инструкция по установке. Сам еще не пробовал ставить (ибо только в пятницу вышел SP1), но в ближайшее время обязательно попробую. Что нового можно почитать в моем предыдущем посте про английскую версию.

Excel add-in Performance Improvements — The Performance of opening reports and opening and refreshing workflow assignments is improved significantly.
New workbook option Clear Changes after workflow action — When you set this option to True, it automatically clears any changes after the workflow action occurs when the form is used in an assignment. This improves performance of subsequent queries. However, if submission fails with this option set the user will be unable to resubmit the changes and the changes will be lost.
New workbook option Enable what-if analysis — When you set this option to True for a matrix, the add-in automatically performs what-if calculations that show the effect the change will have on an assignment if submitted. If False, no changes are applied to the matrix, this can help improve query performance.
Annotations — Forms and Reports can now be created for models that have annotations disabled.)
Workflow Assignments — Contributors can now use the discard action after submitting an assignment to clear the version of the form template they recently submitted allowing the most recently published version of the form template to be retrieved.

What you need to know about installing:

The SP1 file MUST be installed on every PPS Monitoring Server in your environment
The SP1 file MUST also be installed on every MOSS/WSS box that has the PPS Web Parts installed
Dashboard designers should download the Dashboard Designer from the server again after the server has been upgraded

Все уже написали про то, что MS анонсировал поддержку ODF в SP2 для Office System 2007.

Меня же больше заинтересовало вот это — With the release of Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) scheduled for the first half of 2009.

Некий горизонт, когда можно ожидать SP2, а я знаю, что многие этим очень интересуются
