Лидеры корпоративного поиска – версия Forrester. 2006 vs 2008

Вчера наткнулся на отчет Forrester по корпоративному поиску за 2 квартал 2008 года. Стало интересно сравнить картинку с тем, что было до этого. За 2007 год не нашел, а вот за 2006 удалось найти. Вот что получилось:

2006 год.

Microsoft’s search offering embedded in SharePoint 2003 lacks important functionally and has spawned an entire market of third-party search products that offer a better search experience for SharePoint buyers. While the upcoming version that ships with SharePoint Server 2007 for Search will improve upon the 2003 version, it remains functionally lacking, failing to provide the tools necessary to make it a broad-based search platform.

2008 год.

Microsoft Search Server fits mass-market search needs but lacks depth in important areas.

Microsoft’s Search Server was released in March 2008 and is derived from the search
capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007. Search Server differs from standalone competitors like Coveo and Google Search Appliance in that it serves as an on-ramp to the industry-leading collaboration platform, MOSS 2007. Search Server is not sufficiently comprehensive in features and functionality to be competitive in this evaluation against complex platforms like Autonomy. But Microsoft’s aggressive entry into the search market with this product and its FAST acquisition has transformed the competitive dynamics in the industry.

Ну а кроме того, размер занимаемого места на рыке (Market presence) – от маленькой черной точки в 2006 году, до сравнимого с Oracle и IBM в 2008. С учетом постепенной интеграции технологий FAST у MS получается одно из сильнейших предложений на рынке корпоративного поиска. Посмотрим что изменится с выходом следующей версии MOSS и Search Server.
